Santa spoiled the kids this year.  Abby got a Karaoke machine, Gavin got a basketball game,
Amy got a new doll house, and Sarah got a stroller and baby doll.

Overall we had a great Christmas!

Well Hello Santa!

Last year we ran out of time and it was either go last minute shopping or see Santa.  Well I made the WRONG choice!  We went  shopping and the kids cried and cried when they found out that we wouldn't be seeing Santa!  (even though we had seen him at the ward Christmas party)  This year I planned a little better and made sure that the shopping was done and that we would be here the last Saturday before Christmas so we could see Santa.

Gavin was so cute this year. He really wanted a motorcycle but we made it clear that he was not going to get one for Christmas.  He told Santa that he really wanted a motorcycle but he probably hasn't been good enough to get one this year.   When Grandma Morgan heard Gavin tell Santa this it about broke her heart.  She wanted to go out and get him one.

Santa thought Sarah was the cutest thing!  He told her that he loved her pigtails and her cute bows.  He couldn't believe how she climbed up on his lap and just snuggled right down!

The kids were all happy that they got to see Santa!    They see a few different ones throughout the season, but this is the REAL Santa.  We don't miss this one!

Christmas Cards

Here is another example of the stress I create for myself!  Instead of making one card I made three!  "What!" you might say, I know!  Then I have to decide which card to send to who, it really gets crazy!  And I send out about 60 cards a year!

Merry and (Happy) Christmas!

Merry Christmas

I sometimes get a crappy attitude around the Holidays and I don't really mean to, it  just seems like there is so much to do and not enough time to get it all done.  Maybe that is why people try to creep Christmas up into Halloween.  I don't know! I really need to try and remember that my kids don't really care how many batches of fudge get done, or if the house looks like a the cover of a Martha Stewart magazine, or if the lights on the house would win a neighborhood contest.  All they care about is if the decorations are out, if we have lights on the roof (even if it is just ONE strand!) and if they have a happy mom!  I really need to work on the last one.

After we built gingerbread houses last year the kids begged me to let them make them again.  This was not one of my favorite things to do, but in the spirit of being HAPPY  I let them.  This year for sure we bought Sarah her very own.  She had so much fun adding candy to her house.

Amy Turns 6!

This year Amy's birthday fell on Thanksgiving day!  She was excited to have EVERYONE there for her birthday party.  She got a little spoiled because everyone brought her a gift.  But for this sweet girl it was worth it!

Amy asked specifically if KrisAnne would make her an Oreo Ice-cream cake.
I think she got what she wanted!

Happy Birthday sweet Amy!  Love you!

Halloween 2012

The kids get so excited for Halloween!  We start talking about what costume they were going to wear about the first of September when we get the costume catalog. We spent an hour at the costume isle in Walmart one night!  The kids finally decide what they were going to be.  Gavin wanted to be a scary guy, and after we vetoed the guy with guts coming out of his side, we finally chose the grime reaper.  It had eyes that were suppose to glow, but never could get them to work.  Amy chose a pumpkin princess costume, and Sarah chose a Batarina. (a bat and ballerina combined.)  Abby and her friends decided to dress up as old men.  I love Abby's bald head, but after school she didn't want to be that for trick-or-treating. So at the last minute we made a new costume!

The kids went up to the Trunk-or-Treat at the town building.  After that Abby went with her friends to hit the people who weren't there.  Gavin, Amy, Kyle, Jaden, Hadley, Priscilla, and I jumped on the golf cart and went some more too.  And Paul and Sarah came home to hand out candy and fix dinner!  The three older kids came home with a pillow case FULL of candy!   Oh my goodness!  Happy Halloween!

Sarah Turns Three!

Oh sweet Sarah! I can't believe that you are three!  It seemed like over night she turned from our little toddler, into our little girl!  There are so many things we just love about her!  she has a twinkle in her eye that just shines when she smiles at you.

Sarah loves pizza, she asks for it for every meal, and she says it in the cutest little voice!

She was so excited for her Minni Birthday Cake.  She couldn't stop talking about
 Disneyland since we got home!

This year Sarah had found a great love for Olivia!  The cute little pig that wears
a red dress with red and white striped tights!

This was so cute!  Her cake keep falling off her fork so she decided it
was easier to bring her face to the cake instead of the cake to her face!

This was one of her favorite gifts.  She wore it to bed that night!

Happy Birthday little Sarah!  I can't wait to see what the world has in store for you!
