Gavin has been BEGGING me to let him mow the lawn. He has a million reasons why I should let him. I finally got tired of hearing him beg so I told him if he could start it, make a round, empty the bag, put it back on, and start it again, then I would let him mow my lawn. Yep you guessed it, he did it like he had been doing it for years!!! I did have to rein him in, and tell him that straight up and down rows was the only way he could mow the grass. No circles and no curves! I really believe there is nothing that kid can't do!

Bowling
It was taking us forever to finish the book of Alma, so Paul and I told the kids that if they would try hard to get up and read every morning so we could finish that book we would take them bowling on Friday. The kids tried so hard that week, but we were still a 1/2 chapter short of finishing the book. We told them we would go anyways as long as we finished reading it in the car. The kids had so much fun bowling, and we told them when we finish the rest of the Book of Mormon we would go again.
Next time I have got to do a little better! Gavin just about beat me. If it weren't for a few lucky strikes, and the bumpers, I would have been in TROUBLE!
Our Butterfly
At school the kids are asked to go find caterpillars and bring to the class so they can watch them form a ca coon and then turn into a butterfly. Gavin came home with a couple extra so we put one into a jar and hoped for the best. It was so fun to watch that caterpillar spin a ca coon. We waited and waited and watched the jar turn all gross and moldy. I was just about ready to throw it away when one day the kids walked in from school and noticed that it had hatched! It was so fun. I had never done that before but will probably try it again!
See you later buddy!

The Beach
We broke up our three days in DisneyLand with a day at the beach. We had so much fun. Last time we went we just about
froze, but this time it was beautiful! The kids loved swimming in the ocean, and playing in the sand. I think we came home with about 100 seashells!
My cute girls!

Gavin and Kyle out in the water.
I felt so bad for Paul, he sunburned his legs so bad, that it hurt to wear socks the next day!
Disnyland 2012
We were so lucky to get to go to Disney Land again this year. We had so much fun! We debated weither to take Sarah or not, but we were so glad that we did. She was the cutest, and the best little girl! She loved Micky and Minnie, and all the princesses. She waved at everyone! She even loved some of the rides. (She did say some were scary after we got off!)
We went with Lynn and Priscilla and their family. We had so much fun and it worked out really well. Priscilla and I went with the little kids, and Paul and Lynn took the older kids and rode some of the bigger rides with them.
Every morning we would ask Sarah where she wanted to go, and in her cute little voice she would yell "Disney Land!"

The Vegetable Fair
If there is one thing that I absolutely hate about school it is the Vegetable Fair. I guess it is a LONG tradition at Circleville Elementary, and I am sure every other mother hates it too! I usually, somehow, talk the kids out if it. But this year all three wanted to participate. GREAT! Abby and Myndi wanted to do it together, so that wasn't so bad. It was actually pretty easy. Amy, who is such a sweetheart and so patient, got tired of waiting for me and did it all on her own! I didn't get a picture of hers, but it was a mushroom house. It was so cute. I love that girl, she is so happy and so independent. Gavin on the other hand was too busy PLAYING and didn't get it done the night before. So at the last minute we were trying figure something out! Grr...!
They called this the "Crazy Vegetable Woman"
This was Gavin's pirate ship!
Snake and Snails and Pupppy Dog Tails
The other day the door bell rang. When I went to answer it guess what I found?! Yep a little water snake in a cup. I didn't even ask how they got the snake in the cup. In my nice, not frantic, voice I told them it was nice and that they had to put it back in the ditch. They were so proud of what they had caught they tried to stop cars on the road to show them what they had found. Finally JJ Ramos pulled over. They are so cute! I am sure this won't be the last snake they bring home.
Jaden and Gavin
Our little neighbor who lives across the street.
I think the boys felt bad that I made them take the snake back. They really
wanted to take it to school for show and tell.
See ya later! I hope it stays on the other side of the road!
