Heaton's Ranch

Grandma invited us up to the Ranch for one last weekend before school started.  The kids love to spend time up there.  I love it too!  It is like going back in time for a while.  There is no cell service and only a generator for power (that Grandpa only turns on when it is dark!).  We get to sit on the porch and watch the kids play in the pond all day!  I have lots of memories of spending time with Grandpa and Grandma up there.

One thing is for sure there is always lots of Diet Coke to go around.....for adults and kids!  This was so cute, Sarah and Sadie both were fighting over Grandpa's Coke, so he gave one the can and one the cup!

This is Sarah and Sadie sharing a sucker.

Grandma was always the center of attention, of course she had all the jerkey, treats, and Coke. She also started teaching Abby how to knit.

Gavin spent the WHOLE day in the pond, we always knew where he was.  He would get out to get his lunch, then was right back to the boat.

Gavin found some toys up there, and decieded that he was a "defender of the water".  He tucked a sword, a machine gun, and a homemade bomb in his life jacket!  It made me laugh everytime a saw him.  What a crack-up!

I feel so lucky to have somewhere to go where there is so much history and memories.  I hope the kids are able to create fun memories just like me.
